Godshill Model Village

Located in Godshill, Isle of Wight, UK, this model village was started in 1952 and is 1:10 scale, encompasses 2 acres and has over 3000 varieties of trees. It is so detailed and on such a large scale that it contains a scale model of the model village. Within that second model there is a third, even smaller model of the village.

What I personally liked about it was the carefully manicured trees and the fact that they’ve integrated a 1:1 garden within the scale village. Creating something this large and maintaining a complete illusion of scale would be nearly impossible. So, the key is to do it tastefully and I think they have, particularly in the pond area.
