Normally, I would paint this in basic colors and plan to cover it with woodlands scenic ground cover. But we’re doing this in phases and wanted to set the track back up before doing the ground cover. So… we got a little fancy with the base coat painting.

I used some left over semi-gloss from the kitchen remodel just because I had a lot and needed to get a base coat down.

A little painting tip I picked up: Lowes sells satin samples for $3 so I got a selection of earth tones:
