This is 50% scale, 50% fantasy/Hollywood. Bamboo is 1/4″ to 1/2″ diameter, lashed together with jewelery hemp cord, secured with CA glue.

Here is the latest picture with suspension cables, almost done…

The project has grown a bit, I now have three 4′ sections and one 2′ section so, 14′ of Bamboo bridge. Above, I am test fitting it into the rocks to get a feel for how the suspension cables will need to be made.

5/11/2002 – Fitted into the rock. It was originally intended to be modular but I found it neccessary to make it a semi permanent structure. I’ll bring it in for the winter but… it now stays outside.
